The Magic of Skiing

The Magic of Skiing is an invitation to step beyond routine and rediscover what it feels like to be fully alive. Through mindful movement and intentional practice, you will reconnect with your body, refocus your mind, and reawaken a sense of curiosity and possibility that extends far beyond the slopes. This program invites you to view skiing not simply as a sport, but as a practice in self-awareness, presence, and appreciation.

Through the Aiki Approach, you will learn to unify mind and body, cultivate balance, and discover the joy that comes from being fully present in every turn.

This event combines full days of skiing or snowboarding with expert facilitation on and off the mountain, creating a unique and enriched learning journey. You will find yourself building balance not just in your skiing or riding, but in your relationships and life as a whole.

This experience is brought to life in Aspen, Colorado, home to some of the most breathtaking mountains and ski terrain in the world. Here, every turn becomes a moment of possibility. Surrounded by a community of expert coaches and new friends, you will push beyond limits, reconnect with what matters most, and experience the joy of balance both on the mountain and in your life.

Continuing the Legacy with Curt Cronin

For over four decades, The Magic of Skiing was founded and led by Thomas Crum, whose vision and leadership made it Aspen Skiing Company’s longest-running specialty program.

This year marks an exciting new chapter as Tom passes the torch to his longtime mentee, Curt Cronin. Curt, a retired Navy SEAL Commander and founder of Aiki Partners, brings decades of experience leading high-performing teams in the most demanding environments on earth.

Having studied under his Sensei for over a decade, Curt's mission is to carry forward the spirit of the program with the same grounding in presence, connection, and personal transformation. The goal is to honor the legacy Sensei created while extending its impact through Aiki energy, new perspectives, and a deep commitment to guiding participants through their own journey of growth and discovery.

The Magic of Skiing Experience

The Magic of Skiing takes place Sunday, January 25 through Saturday, January 31, 2026.

What’s Included:

• Expert on- and off-mountain facilitation with Curt Cronin, the Aiki Partners team, and Aspen Ski Pros.
• Full days of small-group ski or snowboard instruction.
• 5-day lift ticket (adjusted pricing available by request if you already have a pass).

Your Week at a Glance:

• Opening Session on Sunday, January 25, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
• 5 Full Days on Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, and Aspen Highlands.
• Morning Centering Sessions and Afternoon Applied Integration Sessions led by Curt Cronin and special guests.
• All off-mountain sessions held in the Monarch Room at the Limelight Aspen
• Program concludes Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 6:00 pm
